About Jennifer

Having been a part of the tremendous growth of the spa industry over the past 30+ years, Jennifer has opened and operated some of the most prestigious spas in the United States.  She has extensive experience in pre-opening (spa and resort), spa operations, menu and product development and retail buying and merchandising.

Notable spa and property openings include :

• Spa Botanico at Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Dorado, Puerto Rico (resort and spa)

• The Spa at The Hotel Hershey in Hershey, Pennsylvania (spa)

• The Spa at Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, Florida (spa)

In addition, she has led the spa teams at Spa at the Del Monte in Pittsford (Rochester), NY; Mandarin Oriental in Atlanta, Georgia; Golden Door Spa at The Boulders in Carefree, Arizona; The Spa at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort in Braselton, Georgia; Spa Internazionale at Fisher Island Club in Miami Beach, Florida; and The Spa at Bally's Park Place in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

During Jennifer's spa leadership experience, she has been actively involved with ISPA (International Spa Association).  She began her volunteer service as the Membership Committee chair, which was followed by 7 years on the ISPA Board of Directors.  Serving as Vice-Chair as well as on the Foundation Board allowed her to grow relationships throughout the industry that continue today.  She is currently serving as co-chair of the Speaker Task Force, a group she has been involved with since 2014, and in 2022 has returned to the ISPA Nominations Committee for the Board of Directors selection process. Jennifer was presented the 2023 ISPA Dedicated Contributor Award at the 31st annual ISPA Conference from May 9-11 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. Needless to say, she is proud and humbled to be recognized by her spa colleagues in this manner.

Jennifer's love of working with the future leaders of the industry led her to be a part of the pilot program for the Global Wellness Institute's Mentor Program.  She mentored two young spa directors (Costa Rica and Seattle, Washington) that continue to thrive in this exciting industry.

Jennifer is originally from Oneida, New York, and grew up in Mexico City.  After attending university in Texas and living in a variety of locations around the United States over the years, Jennifer now lives in West Irondequoit, New York, a suburb of Rochester ... close to many family members!  She is fluent in Spanish, enjoys travel, volunteering her time, photography, puzzles, and of course will never turn down an amazing 90-minute massage!
